I have an older home. The stem was discontinued. They finally found a matching set in Charlotte. Not only did they go get it the same day, but repaired it, fast.Not to mention, very friendly young men.

On time and professional, communicated well. The only thing I was unsure about was why they spent so much time in the crawl space. They were there for 30 minutes, only to return with confirmation of the same findings I had made previously in 10 minutes. But they tightened the toilet well and cleaned up fully before leaving.

Helms installed a hot water recirculation system in my home so that our primary bathrooms receive hot water much faster than they had previously. They responded the next day after I asked for an estimate, provided one in writing immediately, and then arrived two days later to do the work. The employees were professional and business like in their work and all was complete in approx. 1.5-2 hours. Great job!

Always happy with Helm's Plumbing, Chris does excellent work! He replaced the water line to the road and all my water lines into the house, installed a new showerhead, I had purchased! As always Chris was polite, knowledgable, efficient and trustworthy. I used them in Gaston county, NC and have now moved to Virginia and still using them! 5 stars!!!

Not all plumbers are created equal! I have so many wonderful things to say about Chris Helms, it is difficult to know where to start. First and foremost, if you are in need of plumbing service (small and large jobs)....there is no need to look any further. Chris has got you covered. I met Chris while he was working with a market leader plumbing company in Charlotte. From the moment I met Chris, I knew that he was someone I wanted to do business with. He had neat appearance, he listened without interruption, he made suggestions, and offered solution. Chris has a patient way about him that made me feel comfortable. I never once felt like he was trying to push a hard sale on me. In 2015, Chris helped me identify a major plumbing issue where the city did an improper repair after some Water Main work. What could have been a nightmare turned out to be a miracle. I contacted the city and Chris made a second trip out to my house the following day to show the city where the issue was. He communicated really well with the utility management and workers. Chris' detection of this problem prompted the city to fix the issue from their end which saved me a great deal of money. In 2016, I had Chris back to my home to discuss some issues with my 1969 Cast Iron main sewer line. Chris scoped my line and identified a couple of issues. Within 24 hours, we had spoken about repair options and he also sent 2 written estimates .... one for repair and one for replacement. After I gave Chris the green light on replacement.....he coordinated a bobcat excavation crew to arrive the next day to begin work. Chris did a major overhaul on my main sewer line in just a matter of 3 hours or so. I stuck around to watch the majority of the work....and I must say that Chris worked with total confidence. He was explaining as he worked. It was quite educational. I put total faith in Chris Helms. I have recommended his work to a few of my own clients. They are just as thrilled as I am. In my opinion, you can't put a price tag on "trustworthy" or "integrity". I've got Chris in my phone directory. While, I hope I never need his services again......I know that if I do, he will do his best to take care of me. Give Chris a call, you will be glad you did.

My 86 year old friend called me after arriving home from an out of town trip to a water leak. It was almost midnight so we had to do what we could til morning. I spent the night wringing out towels and dumping water from the leak in the supply line til 8am when I called Helms Plumbing. Chris and his family have recently moved into our neighborhood and I see his truck all the time. He was my first call and after explaining the situation, he assured me he would have his people out within an hour! His son and partner came out and quickly diagnosed the issue after thoroughly checking all possible culprits. A quick trip to get the supplies and my friend was back in business! The initial estimate was very reasonable considering the rapid response time, but when the total was given, it was nearly $100 less than initially thought! Chris and the other technician were very courteous, professional, and were knowledgeable and efficient. They treated me and my 86 year old friend with the utmost respect and insisted on sweeping up the dirt that was tracked into the kitchen. These young men turned a very long night and messy morning around in a matter of 2 hours! I would highly recommend Helms Plumbing and would not hesitate to call them for any plumbing needs….fingers crossed, we won’t need them! A++ service!

I highly recommend this company. Chris came out on a Saturday over Labor Day weekend and assessed a leak in my elderly mother's plumbing from her well to her house. He assessed the situation and told me he would be back on that Tuesday. He came out with all the equipment and fixed her leak quickly. These are great people to work with.

I've been doing business with Chris Helms for many years. He was working for another company at the time we met I really liked him. He's an honest man of good character. His tempermant is calm and he is a good listener. Chris and his team are reliable, well presented, and punctual. Super professional company. His staff looks clean and professional....which is a HUGE PLUS. At my old home, Chris completely restructured the entire drainage system underneath my home to the street. Since then, we moved and built a new home. Chris and his team came to install a new hot water recirculator system and a home water filtration system. The craftsman of their work is impeccable and he provides service and parts warranties that are fair and common to the trade. A business like Chris's is all about building relationships. now that I've met 3 of his other workers, I would feel comfortable with any of them coming back to my home for more work. All in all.... (while I hope I never "need" to have a plumber back to the new home)..... I would not ever hesitate to call on Chris and his team.
